Movie Night June 11, 2016
Worldwide, Zootopia is the second highest
grossing film of 2016, and the 26th highest of
all time, having taken over a billion dollars. (It
cost $150 million to produce.) The Disney
animated film tells the story of an unlikely
alliance of a rabbit police officer and a red fox
con artist, in order to break a case. The film
has received critical acclaim for animation,
voice acting, screenplay, and for addressing
themes of prejudice and stereotyping. It was
released to theatres in Feb/March 2016, and
was shown in Blue Jay. It will be released on
DVD on June 7, in time for our Movie Night on
June 11. Netflix won't have it until July.
