Movie Night March 12, 2016
American lawyer James Donovan (Tom Hanks) goes into East Berlin at the height of the Cold War to negotiate the release of Francis Gary Powers shot down over Soviet Russia in the 1960 U-2 incident. The Steven Spielberg film was released in theatres last October, 2015. It has been a box-office success, and has received critical acclaim. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards in 2016, including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. It is just now out on DVD, having been released in early February.

Movie Night is also a potluck. Carol is fixing the main dish. Bring a side dish, salad, drink, or movie snack to share.

Arrive any time after 6 pm. Food is served at 6:30. Movie starts at around 7:30. Those who wish can stay just for the dinner, or just for the movie, or both.
