I've driven past the sign for Le Rendez-Vous at the bottom of Hwy 18 for 13 years, always wondering what the food is like, or even if the restaurant is really open. According to member reports, it IS open, and surprisingly good. We have a fifth Wednesday in January 2014, so let's take the opportunity to find out for ourselves.

I suppose it helps to like French food, and not be put off by entrée prices in the range $18 to $30. That probably leaves enough of us to give it a shot. They are expecting us on Jan 29 at 6:00 pm, and have reserved a semi-private room.
To get there: Go down Hwy 18. At almost the bottom, (before 40th Street,) turn right onto N. Sierra Way. Destination will be on left in about 0.2 miles, at 4775 N. Sierra Way, San Bernardino. It's about a 15-minute drive from Crestline. A map is shown below.
